Growing up in the breathtaking hills of Hluhluwe, KwaZulu-Natal, I developed a deep appreciation for beauty and storytelling. The landscapes shaped my perspective, teaching me to see the world with authenticity and wonder.

Starting my career in Johannesburg and now based in Amsterdam, I’ve learned to adapt to diverse environments, a skill that enhances my storytelling approach. With over 15 years of experience as a Cinematographer/Director, I blend artistic vision and technical expertise to craft compelling visuals.

Light and composition are at the heart of my work. My background in lighting gives me the ability to shape emotion and meaning through each frame. Whether capturing real-life moments or creating cinematic imagery, my goal is to honour each story’s authenticity.

I own a Sony FX9 camera package for high-end cinematic work, alongside the Sony FX6 as a versatile, compact option for more agile shoots. My kit includes the Zhiyun Crane 3S Pro gimbal for dynamic camera movement, as well as industry-standard professional lighting, both tungsten and daylight setups ideal for shaping naturalistic, motivated light in a wide range of environments. This setup allows me to deliver cinematic quality with flexibility, whether working handheld, rigged, or on controlled studio-style productions.
